We got the keys for Studio Inn on 1st November and we opened the doors after just three weeks of frantic transformation.

Mood enhancers – light and sound.

We’d coveted our apartment for several years before it came on the market and we finally had the chance to buy it. We fell in love with the light. Our apartment is one of seven penthouses in a converted factory – our space, specifically, was the drawing rooms.

My muse.

It’s fair to say that becoming a mother has been a life-changing experience and I don’t just mean in the obvious ways. Stanley soon became my muse – I’d spend hours photographing him and documenting his life. It’s really where my passion for photography started.

King of the (Norwich) Castle.

From our living room window we often observe the Norwich skyline and the iconic landmark, Norwich Castle. Each year in July it is back-lit and beautifully illuminated by the Lord Mayor’s spectacular firework display.

A lot has changed in the nine years since I graduated. My beloved art school is officially a university and my course is now called Graphic Communication. But there’s one thing that hasn’t changed and that’s the buzz that surrounds the end of year degree show.

The next gen, Grad Fashion Week 17.

The Truman Brewery was buzzing; a heady mix of graduates, industry professionals and prospective students for this year's Graduate Fashion Week.

Elegance on two wheels.

Two years ago we visited Copenhagen for the first time, and, 6 months ago we explored Denmark’s second city (and this year’s city of culture) Aarhus. It is fair to say that these two Danish cities had a profound effect on me and in particular changed my view of the humble push bike.

Writing our own rules.

One of things I’ve loved most about launching and growing Nor-Folk is the ability to write my own rules. I’m not anti-conformity but I am anti-design for the sake of it. I prefer to design with consideration and crafting. Creating something that has the ability to stand the test of time and I think this approach is routed in our graphic design education.

British Art Show 8.

On Wednesday I was fortunate enough to enjoy a guided tour of the British Art Show 8 by Harriet Loftier (Curator of Modern & Contemporary Art at Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery) at Norwich Castle. The British Art Show showcases some of the most exciting contemporary art produced in the UK. The work is split between Norwich Castle and my beloved art school, Norwich University of the Arts.

Behind the lookbook.

Back in late December of last year, when most people were preparing for Christmas, we were co-ordinating our 2016 childrenswear lookbook. After a call on social media for children to apply we narrowed our models down to 8 children.

Norwich Fashion Week 2016.

Here in our fine city of Norwich, Norwich Fashion Week is now in its sixth year, comprising ten days of events. NFW celebrates the best of our local talent. When we were approached to join forces with Hoskins Hair, it was a resounding yes from us. The show offered us the perfect platform to shine a light on our latest Adult’s Collection.

Pop Up Shop.

With the imminent launch of our new children’s collection, we decided to open a pop up shop to sell our current lines in our fine home city of Norwich.We set up residence for a week at womenswear shop Finch from Tuesday 23rd to Saturday 28th February.
