Best Photography Blog, Amara Awards #IBA17.
Last night I was rendered speechless when I won 'Best Photography Blog' at the Amara Interior Awards 2017.
I was in equal measures excited and anxious about attending the Amara Interior Awards. The location was the new, prestigious and imposing London Design Museum, renovated by John Pawson and OMA.
I had been nominated for ‘Best Interiors Lifestyle Blog.’ I made the short-list of six following public vote, so I really do want to thank each and everyone who supported me with voting.
The night took a twist.
The event was hosted by Sophie Robinson and Daniel Hopwood to a packed auditorium. The ceremony was also streamed live on YouTube. I didn’t win in my category but I was rendered speechless when it was announced that I had won Best Photography Blog. You can watch the highlights from the evening here–

The night was particularly special because I got to celebrate with my very proud (and slightly tearful) mum, Julie.
We toasted the evening with various cocktails from Sipsmiths and travelled home with an incredibly generous goodie bag.
Thank you again for everyone who voted, I’m still on cloud 9!
