Dot to Dot.
We presented our first collection at Dot to Dot last summer, having launched Nor-Folk just three months earlier. We set up our modest stand with our screen printed t-shirts, a couple of boards and, if we are honest, not much of a plan (other than to talk to others and get ourselves out there!). Our first show was a massive learning curve, with us making a huge step forward in our professionalism by January 2016, when we exhibited at Playtime in Paris.
Fast forward to today – our clothes are made in the UK and with our own unique patterns. We have co-created a film in collaboration with tokyobike, which we featured on our stand. And we customised our stand space with our N Dash Collection graphics. Every element was considered.
As a designer, when you start to take the stand down, conversation turns to the inevitable… ‘So what shall we do next year?’
We had a great two days meeting current stockists, potential new ones, bloggers and friends. We were incredibly honoured to have been selected by Little London as one of the best five brands at the show. You may have also seen we’ve been nominated for Best Children’s Brand at the Little London awards – it’s judged by the public, so we’d love your vote (read more here).
As a designer, when you start to take the stand down, conversation turns to the inevitable… ‘So what shall we do next year?’ I don’t want to reveal too much but I’ve been spending a lot of time watching Alexander Wang videos… Oh I might have already said too much…
A big thank you to Carly & Nicole and the entire Dot to Dot team for a great show. As ever it was well organised and well attended. We will back next year (bigger & better)!
